Over the last 10 years I have photographed at numerous wedding venues throughout the UK (and Europe too!), it is always exciting to head to a new venue. The Four Pillars wedding photography did not disappoint.
Claire and Dylan met through work, but like the start of many a good love story, it took a Christmas party and plenty of Dutch courage before there feelings could be revealed! They chose the stunning riverside setting of The Four Pillars in Witney to make their wedding vows. The Four Pillars have a license for outdoor weddings which take place in a simple and elegant pergola overlooking the River Windrush, on a warm sunny day, this was just idyllic.
Claire was exceptionally calm when I arrived, with emotions only coming to the surface when her father came up to her room to see her for the first time in her wedding gown. Claire, her father and all the female wedding party were wiping away tears, I do love those moments.
Dylan was also very calm on the surface, any nerves he may have felt were well hidden. There is quite a long path from the hotel to the pergola which gave Dylan a clear view of Claire walking arm in arm with her father, I’m not sure he could’ve have looked any prouder. I love those moments too! If I’m completely honest, after 10 years photographing weddings, I am still in love with most moments throughout the day – but dads first look at his daughter in her dress and grooms first look at his bride to be, are definitely my favourite – closely followed by father and daughter interaction after the fathers speech.
After their vows were complete, Claire and Dylan’s guests enjoyed the Spring sunshine with cocktails and canapés by the river, not a bad way to spend the day!
Here is a selection of Four Pillars wedding photography images from there day, I do hope you enjoy and that you for stopping by.
