My newborn baby portrait photography with Brodie was a real surprise as his Dad, a drummer in a band, arrived with two drums to incorporate into our newborn photography session! I do love a good prop and what an amazing idea to completely personalise your newborn baby portrait photography session with something relative to you and your family – think fireman helmets, builders boots (clean boots only!), cricket bats – or any other sports equipment, the veil from your wedding day – the list really is endless.

I photographed Brodies parents wedding 3 years ago at the unique Bar 163 in Chertsey (you can see some of their wedding photographs here – I knew when they had a baby it would be a funky little dude or dudette, and with a name like Brodie, a Dad who plays drums and a super laid back Mum, I can’t wait to see how he grows when I see him next for his 1st Bithday Cake Smash session.

Brodie has the most amount of hair I have ever seen on a newborn baby, he’s never going to have to worry about going bald! After a few feeds by mum to settle him, he was soon sound asleep and a dream to photograph.

Here are pictures taken from Brodie’s newborn photography session, drums and all. I do hope you enjoy.

If you would like to arrange a newborn photography session, these are ideally done within 14 days of your little person arriving. You think about booking a session at around 7-8 months pregant with a newborn photography session date within 10 days of your due date. I do understand babies rarely arrive when predicted and can of course accomodate this.

Please allow between 90 to 120 minutes (sometimes longer – I do appreciate that newborn babies can havetheir own agenda and require feeding and changing), please feel free to brings any items or props you would like to include in your session. I do have a selection of hats, flowers and backdrops – all I really need is your baby:).
