Hello there, I hope you’ve enjoyed having a wonder around my site and found everything you need to help you decide that I am the right photographer for you 🙂 I guess I’d better tell you a bit about me – not at all awkward. I’m a Mum to two beautiful, loud and funny children, a co-parent to two cats and a crazy dog, and I’m a wife to my patient husband who puts up with my bad singing and incessant ideas for the next home improvement project we should embark upon.

I love life and I love to laugh out loud – we laugh a lot in our house, there’s always teasing to be had and kitchen dance off’s or sing alongs to 80’s and 90’s classics. I love the outdoors, it doesn’t matter where, just being out in the open, with fresh air, a hot coffee and usually the dog in tow and a podcast on the go.

I try to see the best to every situation, to be kind to others and take the joy in life’s simple things. There are two mottos that resonate in our house; “If you don’t like something, change it. If you can’t change it, change the way you think about it” and “Better to regret the things you’ve done than regret the things you’ve never even tried” – (though I’m thinking this maybe withdrawn as my children reach their teenage years!) I love to travel and experience new things with my children, I want them to explore the world and see other ways of life. I have a soft spot for Australia and would move there in a heart beat.

I started my photography journey in 2007 having previously worked in the corporate world, travelling around the UK and Europe helping organisations manage their sensitive data. When I found out I was pregnant I knew that my work schedule wouldn’t work with raising children, and with the support of my husband I took the decision to retrain. I worked for a busy wedding photography studio where I quickly found out that weddings are unpredictable, emotional and each one different. I was hooked on the buzz of freezing a moment in time that maybe only I noticed, it felt like a super power. Very early in my career I met a great photographer, Gordon McGowan, who took me under his wing and provided me with mentorship. It was an incredible experience and I will always be grateful to him.

Here we are 14 years later, part of over 500 weddings that have taken me across the UK and Europe; I’ve met so many incredible people, witnessed different cultures and how they celebrate love, photographed a ceremony on Concorde, taken a group photo from a crane, been hugged by Harry Redknapp (as a Spurs fan this was very special), photographed weddings at a Royal Palace, photographed a premier league footballers wedding and an Olympians too, had my work featured in multiple publications including Hello magazine and won awards judged by a panel of my peers. And still each wedding gives me the buzz of my first; watching the reaction of a father see his daughter for the first time in her wedding dress, couples’ reactions as they walk down the aisle, listening to the speeches and learning so much more about the special relationships between a couple and their loved ones – And I get to call this my “work”.

I love what I do and I hope it shows in my work. If you like my work and I sound like the kind of person you’d like to have around on your wedding day, please get in touch to check availability.
