Tuscany Wedding – Becca + Bastian
So excited to share this Tuscany wedding with Becca and Bastian! I first met Becca at Horsley Towers where she worked in wedding events. She mentioned she and her Fiance we’re planning getting married in Tuscany and if this is something I would consider, as you can imagine my answer was “Hell yeah!”. So on an overcast September morning, I flew into Tuscany to watch Becca and Bastian’s humanist ceremony with their closest family and friends and their gorgeous daughter, Maddie.
Becca and Bastian had their legal ceremony at a chapel in Vegas with just the two of them, but wanted their “public” ceremony to be the wedding they had dreamed of; a week long Tuscany wedding celebration with their closest family and friends.
With a bit of searching they came found the perfect place for their Tuscany wedding in a quaint town of Poppi; a small charming town in Eastern Tuscany. The town is famous for it’s incredibly well preserved 13th century castle which dominates the town square and it’s stunning far reaching views of Casentino Valley.
With a little help from Airbnb Becca and Bastian found a gorgeous villa where they and their family could celebrate their humanist wedding. A beautiful wooden pergola overlooking the rich green valleys, an outdoor pool perfect for keeping cool in the balmy weather, huge farmhouse style Italian bedrooms, rustic kitchen with a traditional pizza oven and enough room for 12 guests – it really was a perfect fit.
Below is the story of their Tuscany wedding day, I hope you enjoy.
Stunning views over the Tuscany Hills
Maddie getting used to her confetti basket and having fun with her uncle.
Becca looking radiant ♥
Wedding gifts from her Sister, how beautiful are these handwritten notes.
Lot’s of small details created by a local florist call Kellen Lauxen The paper poms poms added a fun quirky feel and I loved the small bark name places, really in keeping with the rustic feel of the villa.
How beautiful is this view, it’s almost like a picture hanging on a wall.
I truly adore the next sequence of pictures, so real and full of emotion. Moments and pictures like these just become more valuable over time as your children get older.
Two of my favourites from the day ♥
Bastian’s brother flew over from Germany to help settle his nerves pre wedding and also created some lovely Groom prep moments.
Captivated by the reflection in the background of this picture.
Cute little “Cheers” moment with Maddie, she had apple juice of course!
Becca wedding ready, she looked truly gorgeous!
And her sister too!
Maddie got in on the action too 🙂
Lucky black cat preceding over the day.
Dad waiting patiently to see his daughter for the first time in her wedding dress. There are so many emotional moments on a wedding day, being able to be part of them, and document them is a real privilege.
Becca’s sister making sure she looks perfect to make the short walk to the pergola for her outdoor ceremony.
Bastian looking just ever so slightly nervous awaiting the arrival of Becca.
Becca’s mum looking on as her daughter takes her wedding vows.
Bastian’s mum feeling overwhelmed, scroll down as this emotion definitely runs in the family …
And here is Bastian after reading his vows, I told you emotions run in the family.
First kiss moment ♥
Maddie joining in the love too, waving like a mini queen!
