I have been going through my weddings of 2012, each one is special in their own way; couples personalities are very different, some out going, others more reserved; colour schemes, ceremonies, speeches – everything is always so varied from wedding to wedding.
One venue we have been a frequent visitor of is Great Fosters Hotel in Egham. Built originally as a royal hunting lodge in 1550, it still retains many of the original features, and sympathetically added more. No matter how many weddings we photograph there, each couple really put’s their own stamp on the ceremony and reception rooms. With a choice of the Tithe Barn or the Orangery, you are really spoilt for choice.
If you are having your wedding at Great Fosters, you are also blessed with having stunning gardens and grounds. June and July weddings really display the full range of flora and fauna in glorious colour. Winter weddings offer roaring open fires and the dark beams create a cosy and intimate ambience.
It goes without saying the service and food is outstanding. Their organisational skills are amazing too – Great Fosters are able to host more than one wedding on any given day. Having been in attendance when they have had 3 weddings on one day, not at any point did you come across the other wedding partys’, you are always made to feel that your wedding is the only one.
Here are some images taken from Miranda and Kevins wedding in October 2012, the ceremony took place at St Lawrence Church in Chobham, a short ride away from Great Fosters. I particularly love this couple as Miranda is passionate and joyful about life, she wears her emotions on her sleeve, I love thsi about her. She also truly adores her parents, this was evident throughout the day. They had their reception in the Tithe Barn and not content with one wedding cake, they had two!
I hope you enjoy these pictures, I have loved looking back through them. And if considering your wedding Great Fosters Hotel, please get in touch as we would love to hear from you and with our studio less than 10 minutes away, we couldn’t be more local! ♥
