Hotel Miramar, Bournemouth

I am really excited to share Amy and Ed’s perfect beachside wedding at the Hotel Miramar in Bournemouth. This was my first visit and I wasn’t disappointed.

The hotel is located on the exclusive East Cliff area of Bournemouth and has sweeping views across the hotels award winning gardens’ and the stunning Dorset coastline. In fact, on a hot day, with the warm breeze and the beautiful palm trees, you could well be mistaken for thinking you are in the South of France.

Hotel Miramar Bournemouth, bride, groom and palm trees

Bridal prep started at Amy and Ed’s home in Bournemouth, Jeni Worsfold bridal hair stylist. Amy’s hair is a striking colour and Jenni’s styling oozed old school Hollywood glamour. Amy decided to do her own wedding make up using products from luxury make up brand, Charlotte Tilbury.

Ed waited patiently for the arrival of his bride in the colourful gardens of the Hotel Miramar. There is a pergola in the garden that was tastefully decorated by the very talented people at Tiger Lilly Occasions, the flower arch looked chic and elegant, the perfect backdrop.

Amy was walked down the aisle by two proud dads as Ed beamed with excitement. The ceremony was perfect and the arch provided some much needed shade from the searing heat.

Denise gave me so much security on my wedding day. She organised everyone efficiently for photos when needed but also was invisible when taking candid photos. She took the time to speak through what I wanted before the day and we are very happy with the results.

We had plenty of time after the ceremony for the guests to relax and enjoy the beautiful surroundings with a glass of champagne.

The chic white flower arch around the pavillion provided a perfect backdrop for group photos and the palm trees are amazing, perfect framing for this couples photo.

Hotel Miramar Wedding Reception

The garden room seats up to 120 people and has it’s own private bar and dancefloor. The wedding team are always on hand to help and made sure that every detail was perfect. Amy and Ed chose a subtle colour palette and clearly couldn’t decide on which cake to choose and ended up with two. Who doesn’t love a Krispy Kreme!

Hotel Miramar Beach

As the sunset on day, Amy and Ed wanted to head down to the beach which is a short 10 minute stroll from the Hotel. It was worth the walk as the light was stunning, as the sun disappeared we created a beautiful silhouette with Boscome Pier in the background. i genuinely love this light, I would take 10 minutes with this light than 60 minutes in sunlight.
