An International Wedding at Stanlake Park

Louise & Dani

A Fusion of Cultures at Stanlake Vineyard

I had the pleasure of documenting a dreamy bilingual wedding at the enchanting Berkshire Vineyard. I wanted to be part of Louise and Dani’s wedding from the moment we chatted on zoom. I loved the vision they had for their Stanlake Wedding, a relaxed affair with loved ones flying in from all over Europe. It was going to be a beautiful fusion of Spanish and English traditions; from the Spanish food, heartfelt toasts in both languages to a dance floor that knew no borders, weaving together the rich tapestry of the couple’s backgrounds.

Stanlake Park Vineyard: A Breathtaking Backdrop

Stanlake Park Vineyard is set in the grounds of one of England’s finest wine estates in the heart of Berkshire. It boasts over 130 acres of luscious countryside and a selection of lovingly restored 16th century buildings that provide unique spaces for your wedding celebration. Getting ready is a joy in the light filled bridal preparation space, it has a wall of make up mirrors and a well thought out space to display your wedding and bridesmaid dresses, and a huge floor to ceiling freestanding mirror to make sure you look perfect before you walk up the aisle.

The Coach House is a charming space with a wall of windows allowing for light to spill in as you take your vows. Reception drinks can be enjoyed in the walled courtyard framed with wisteria and greenery, it looks luscious in every season. And enjoy your wedding breakfast in the recently restored and renovated Vineyard Barn, which has a private bar area for your guests and clear views of the grapevines.

Blissful Wedding Moments

Louise looked simply chic in an off white lace flowing gown, her hair and make up were simple with a relaxed half up and half down style adorned with silver leaves. Dani looked handsome in a navy morning suit and checked suit waistcoat, and a pop of colour with a rich burgundy cravat. He was supported on the day by his brothers and his best friend who had travelled from Spain to be part of the celebrations.

The bilingual vows echoed with promises of forever, and with an emotional reading from Dani’s brother I made sure to capture every tear, every laugh, and every moment of pure joy. I always say you can never have too much confetti, and Louise and Dani certainly took this on board! They were greeted post ceremony by a plume of dried petals, and an extra dousing by Louise’s immediate family.

There is a tradition which Louise was keen to continue of spraying champagne towards a clock tower, the look on everyone’s faces as Dani created a perfect spray. The golden June sun cast a magical glow over the vineyard, creating the perfect setting for relaxed couples photographs and some fun family groups too. Early Summer often deliver the most enchanting golden hours, and this day was no exception. The soft light of the setting sun complimented the vineyards warm tones, providing a golden backdrop for some late evening couple’s portraits.

And That’s A Wrap to a Stanlake Park Wedding

The beats of Spanish flamenco mingled with English dancefloor classics, and a lot of Taylor Swift (Louise is a fellow swiftie!), creating a vibe that got everyone on their feet and singing their hearts out. It really did become a Taylor Swift tribute act! And if that wasn’t enough to keep the international guests list busy, there was a roulette table set up in the courtyard. It may have been paper money but that didn’t stop the excitement and and competitiveness to out win one another.

Guests didn’t have far to travel at the end of the evening, their hearts full of love and joy, their stomachs full of good food and wine, there are a number of fabulous luxury and affordable accommodation in and around the venue. Stanlake also has some on site accommodation too, you can read more about these spaces and how to book by visiting Stanlake Vineyard accommodation

Louise and Dani’s Stanlake Park Vineyard was more than just a celebration; it was a love story told in two languages. From the heartfelt vows to the lively cultural touches,

Love truly knows no boundaries, and this bilingual affair was a testament to the beauty of blending different worlds. In the end, it’s not just about capturing moments; it’s about weaving them into a love story to be cherished. Stanlake Barn provided the perfect stage for this love fiesta, and I’m grateful to have been a part of such a magical day.
