Wasing Park Barn
Wasing Park Barn Outdoor Ceremony
Ellie & Sam
A Timeless Affair at Wasing Park Barn
I have had the pleasure of documenting countless love stories in some stunning wedding venues across the country, there are few that captivate the romance and refinement quite like Wasing Park. Nestled in the heart of Berkshire’s stunning countryside, this historical estate offers unparalleled beauty for couples seeking a wedding that blends rustic charm, historical architecture and gorgeous gardens.
One of the distinctive features of Wasing Park is its versatility. There is a choice of locations to say “I do”. Ellie and Sam chose the timeless elegance of the Victorian Summerhouse as the perfect backdrop for their wedding guests to witness them take their vows. It has beautiful pale blues hues and ornate paintwork of flowers and humming birds, subtle yet stunning.
Wasing Park Outdoor Ceremony
The weather was perfect for an outdoor ceremony, the sun shone and light cloud cover provided some shade for their guests. Ellie looked magnificent as she walked up the aisle to an emotional and nervous Sam, who was supported by his best friend and best man. His emotions ranged from huge smiles to tears, but his nerves eased as Ellie greeted him with a huge reassuring hug and a beaming smile.
The couple giggled throughout their personally written vows, they snuggled in for nose touches and they wiped away tears of joy. Sam’s dad gave a beautiful and heartfelt reading which had Sam back in tears, I do love an emotional groom. Sam and Ellie positively skipped back down the aisle to the sound of clapping and cheering.
Wasing Park’s Enchanting Spaces
Wasing Park is a playground for natural light, it is the perfect place for creating images that are both timeless and ethereal. Whether it’s the soft glow of sunset casting a warm embrace over the estate or the dappled sunlight filtering through the ancient trees. With sunlight bathing down on us, we choose the beautiful backdrop of the ancient trees for the group photographs, keeping everyone cool and avoiding any unwanted shadows.
Ellie and Sam were in love with the Victorian summer house where they had just taken their vows. We used this backdrop for a few relaxed couples’ pictures, they were absolute naturals and we had a lot of fun with a couple of silly pictures too.
The guests enjoyed the tasty canapes with the sound of corks popping, glasses chinking and laughter filling the air, whilst basking on the terrace.
The Castle Barn, with its high vaulted ceilings and rustic charm, was the ideal setting for the wedding breakfast. Ellie and Sam were greeted with cheering as they walked in as the new Mr & Mrs Greenwood. They choose to have their speeches first as they had a surprise in store for their guests in the form of The Singing Waiters! There arrival lifted the roof off Wasing Park Barn, with a boy v girl sing off, a conga dance around the barn, a dance off with the grooms men and the grand finale napkin waving.
The Afterparty At Wasing Barn
And as if The Singing Waiters wasn’t enough of a surprise, the wedding guests were treated to the musical delight of The London Function Band! I have been fortunate to hear this band at previous weddings, they are as much a feast for the eyes as there are the ears. They get completely involved in the party, on the dancefloor with you and your guests, they know how to start the party and keep it going making sure everyone is involved and having a good time. The last photo of the evening sums up the atmosphere, Ellie, with wine, dancing the night away at Wasing Park Barn, her dream wedding venue.
