Wedding Photography Loseley Park
There are some weddings you literally cannot wait to photograph, this was without doubt one of them! Wedding photography Loseley Park is exciting in itself, a beautiful country home with stunning gardens. However, combine this with a couple as beautiful inside as they are on the outside, fun and relaxed, and choosing a first look, well this wedding could not get any better!
Georgia and Thomas are German, met in Singapore and live in the UK, a truly international couple. They are both big animal lovers (Georgia is a veterinary surgeon) and spend a lot of their time outdoors. When they started looking for a wedding venue they wanted somewhere with beautiful outdoor space and gardens, making Loseley Park the perfect choice.
I first me with Georgia and Thomas 18 months before their big day, they wanted wedding photography which could incorporate the gorgeous grounds and it’s relaxed feel. I mentioned the idea of a “First Look” – this is where a couple see each other for the first time prior to their wedding ceremony, allowing the couple to enjoy that first moment. I am of course there too but tucked away! They were both really keen to do this and I was so pleased they did, it really was such a privilege to witness. I had a double first look moment with the father of the bride too, for me these moments are absolutely priceless.
With friends travelling from all over the world, they wanted to add something quintessentially English to the day and arranged for a big red London bus to bring their guests to Loseley Park. The ceremony took place within the main house, a stunning ornate room. Their friend played Snow Patrols Chasing Cars on the piano as Georgia walked down the aisle to meet Thomas. They had both written their own vows, Georgia had pre warned me that Thomas can get quite emotional and when Georgia read her vows, Thomas did in deed shed a tear (or 5) whilst Georgia affectionately giggled and handed him a tissue!
The reception drinks were held in the garden at the rear of the main house, surrounded by water features and an amazing array of country flowers, it really is a truly beautiful Surrey wedding venue. They also had a very cool G&T stand provided by the glorious caterers Caper & Berry.
With drinks flowing and the sun lowering, Georgia and Thomas headed into the barn at Loseley Park for their wedding breakfast and a selection of heartfelt and emotional speeches from Thomas’s father, Georgia’s parents who shared a speech is German culminating with the song by Bobby Vee – Take Good Care of my Baby. The best man met Thomas in Singapore and incorporated a Chinese tradition into his speech, a shout of what sounded like Yang Zee, however I may well have got that wrong!
I do hope you enjoy this selection of pictures from Georgia and Thomas’s wonderful day ♥
