A Year of Love as a Surrey Wedding Photographer

As another incredible year comes to an end, I find myself reflecting on the wonderful weddings I’ve had the privilege to document in 2024. It has been a year filled with heartfelt moments, genuine smiles, and the kind of love that makes this job so rewarding. Every wedding is unique, and yet one thing remains constant – the trust that couples place in me to capture their most cherished memories. For that, I am truly grateful.

The Beauty of being a Documentary Wedding Photographer

One of the things I love most about my approach as a wedding photographer is blending into the background, allowing the day to unfold naturally. No forced poses, no awkward moments – just real, raw emotions as they happen. From the joyful laughter shared between bridesmaids in the morning to the quiet, stolen glances between newlyweds during the speeches, these are the moments that tell the real story of your wedding day.

Looking back at 2024, it’s not just the grand settings or the beautiful details that stand out – it’s the people. The hugs from proud parents, the laughter that erupts mid-ceremony, the children twirling on the dance floor without a care in the world. It’s the small, fleeting moments that often go unnoticed on the day but become the ones you cherish the most when you look back.

I’ve seen couples wiping away tears during their vows, grandparents embracing loved ones with the kind of warmth only years of love can bring, and friends reunited on the dance floor in a way that only weddings can make happen. These are the moments that truly define a wedding, and being able to capture them is an honour I never take for granted.

Stunning Venues Across Surrey, Berkshire & Hampshire

This year, I’ve been fortunate to work at some breath taking venues across Surrey, Berkshire, and Hampshire. Each location brings its own charm and character, providing the perfect backdrop for beautiful, natural photography.

  • Stanlake Park – Rustic elegance at its finest, with its warm, intimate setting and stunning vineyard views.
  • Northbrook Park, Surrey – A dreamy location with its grand architecture and serene gardens, where golden-hour portraits always shine.
  • Wasing Park, Berkshire – A venue that never fails to impress with its woodland paths, historic barns, and the most stunning light filtering through the trees.
  • Froyle Park, Hampshire – A venue that blends classic charm with modern elegance, where every corner offers a perfect photo opportunity.

Each wedding at these venues (and many more!) has been a unique experience, filled with joy, emotion, and the occasional happy tear.

A Heartfelt Thank You

To all the couples who invited me into their wedding day this year – thank you. Thank you for trusting me, for letting me be a part of your story, and for allowing me to document the moments that will stay with you for a lifetime. It’s been a joy getting to know you, capturing your connections, and witnessing the start of this incredible new chapter in your lives.

As 2025 approaches, I’m looking forward to another year of being a wedding photographer, incredible weddings, wonderful couples, and all the unforgettable moments yet to come. If you’re planning your wedding and are looking for a relaxed, documentary-style wedding photographer to capture your day as it truly happens, I’d love to hear from you.

Wishing you all a happy and love-filled New Year!
